Question Usb 2.0s not working

I'll make this quick. I am using the Define s2 case. The front 2.0 ports are not working. I have done the checking for updates and drivers on the control panel and nothing has worked.

Do I have to plug the ports in to the motherboard somewhere?

yes, you need to plug the 2.0 front to motherboard 2.0 header

If you already plugged the motherboard to the front usb, the USB ports might be busted. I have a USB 3.0 port on my case that doesn't work and I was using it to charge my phone. It was shorted.
