I currently have a desktop p.c. with functioning usb 1 ports. I would like
to add a Belkin pci card which will provide usb 2 ports. Will this generate
any problems?
If it is advisable to do this what will happen to my existing usb 1 ports?
Will they still function?
Thankyou Chas

No problems will be generated.
The USB 1 ports will continue to function.

I never tried Belkin, but you can read more about USB2.0 controllers and PCI
cards before buying. Instead of 480MB/s (theoretical anyway) you might end
up w/ 40MB/s or less.
Read some user reviews here: http://www.nextag.com/usb-2.0-pci-card/search-html and google for more.
