I am planning to buy the antec ask 4000b u3. The case i have only has usb 2.0 ports and i often use usb 2.0 pendrives and usb 3.0 external hard drives. I often install o.s from pendrives using the front panel ports. The antec case i am planning to buy only has front panel usb 3.0 ports. Will there be any compatibility issues when i use the usb 2.0 pendrives using the usb3.0 ports

Solution
USB 3.0 ports are backwards compatible with USB 2.0 devices. Similarly, USB3.0 devices are compatible with USB 2.0 ports. There will be no issues whatsoever.

However, if your motherboard doesn't have an internal USB 3.0 header, you will NOT be able to use your new case's front panel USB 3.0, since the internal USB 3.0 connector is different from USB 2.0 connector.

no problems . i have the same case , the usb ports are backwards compactible ..so when a 3.0 drive you will get higher
transfer speed than 2.0 , there will be no issues with connectivity of drives

Depending on the OS you are installing with a flash drive USB 3.0 might not work properly. I know windows 7 will not install over USB 3.0 because the drivers need to be installed after the OS so your forced to use USB 2.0. Other than that they are backwards compatible and as other have said your motherboard needs USB 3.0 header otherwise you will need a USB 2.0 to 3.0 header adapter and your speeds will be stuck at 2.0 levels.
