Usb 3.0 Chasis/Case With A Usb 2.0 Motherboard

Just a quick question here.

Will a USB 3.0 Case work with a USB 2.0 motherboard?

- I do not mind not using the front panel case USB 3.0 due to the fact that I have a 4 port USB external bay so as long as the motherboard USB works, I don't mind not having the case's USB port.

*It will help if its a direct answer since Im not knowledgeable about in depth tech*

Yes it will , and you can even buy an adapter to make the Case front ports run , but function at 2.0 spec.
