Long story short, when using usb 3.0 devices disconnect at times. I tried many of the solutions to stop this but it still happens. If I connect my usb device to 2.0 it works fine, if I turn off 3.0 in bios meaning itll run at 2.0 speeds it'll also work fine. This annoys me since I have videos on the device and would like to watch them straight from the device. Is there a fix for this? Thanks in advance

Solution
Depends on your mobo, but if its new.
It may have an option in the bios for fast charge.
Enable that.

Was there a driver on the mobo Cd/ Dvd and have you installed it to windows for full Usb 3.0 support in windows ?
Have a think because it matters.

If you have lost the mobo driver cd/ dvd simply google the board brand and model number, download the driver for version of os using and install.
