Question usb 3.0 docking station if I don't have usb 3.0?

Work is making me get rid of my PC in favor of a laptop. Assuming they give me one with only two usb 2.0 connections like they did my coworker - are there any solutions to connect to newer docking stations? Ultimately I'm just looking to connect a keyboard / mouse / 2 or 3 monitors while I am in my office as I'm not a huge laptop fan.

For keyboard/mouse, USB 3.0 vs 2.0 does not matter at all.

You get whatever docking station is compatible with your laptop. There are no universals.

If work is getting you this system, your IT people would be connecting your devices to whatever model laptop they use. Unless your company staffs IT with dumb lazy people, they won't just toss the laptop at you and walk away.
