Just about a month ago I had switched from Windows 10 to Windows 7 Ultimate x64 for the simple reason that I prefer Windows 7. Until a couple hours ago I had realized I had not installed some software for my H2100 Corsair Headset, so I went ahead and did so. Upon downloading the software I was required to unplug the bluetooth adapter from the USB 3.0 port for the process to continue somehow causing my USB 3.0 to become lose its drivers. (I'm well aware that there is no need to plug in a bluetooth adapter to a USB 3.0 port as USB 3.0 only enhances memory bandwidth, but mind you I have a limited amount of ports to plug into, thus leading me to use my USB 3.0 port. Yes I could use a 2.0 port but I still need the extra two 3.0 ports and want to get this over with.)
I've tried the motherboard's website for it's USB 3.0 drivers but no luck. The .exe only allows for Windows to attempt to download its drivers but fails; on device manager it still remains as "Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller" with a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark inside. The download also contains driver files to manually install, I've tried both x64 and x86 and still no luck. I've also tried installing the drivers in Safe Mode which is useless considering Windows Installer is disabled.
I'm at a lost here and really need some help so I can retrieve the sound to my headset. Thank you.
