usb 3.0 front not working

hi I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me with knowng why my front usb 3.0 port for my case is not working

so far I have uninstalled and re installed the drivers for it and I have made sure it is connected to the board firmaly
I have also gone through bios and made sure every thing is enabled

]I have even plugged the heeder cable into another mobo and it works fine

cpu AMD FX 9370
mobo M5A99FX PRO R2.0
ram KINGSTON HYPER X DUAL CHANNAL 8GB 1866 MHz
gpu SAPHIRE RADEON R9 270X O.C

If you've done all that then it could be a hardware fault, maybe the cable has a bad connection at one end or the other. Are connected devices even registered, i.e. does Windows make a noise when you plug something in?

Hi I know the lead is good as the port lead works on my other device

Also no devices show up and there is no noise but the drivers report as working fine

I don't understand how you can be sure the cable works, surely you can't tell because nothing is registered when it is plugged in? What do you mean by other device; a different PC?

The cable responds fine when connected to another mobo out side of the system in question

Okay, well then there is an issue with your motherboard's USB 3.0 header. RMA it.
