Question Usb 3.0 hdd impossible bandwith (mistery)

Hello all,

I've been thinking about it for a while and I can't find an explanation, i hope you can help.

I am getting an strange transfer speed in one of my USB 3.0 hdd, I have two WD element ITB USB 3.0 hdd, apparently the same model.

When i attached them for testing speeds to the same USB 3.0 port this what i get:

113 MB/s

CrystalDiskInfo
SATA/300
5400RPM

WD-WX41A1413807

536 MB/s <---- ????

How is it possible that a SATA/300 over USB 3.0 reaches a speed of more than 500MB/s?

How could i check out if the reason is the cache? Do you mean the internal hdd cache?

No WD software installed, it is really strange, apparently is the same hdd model. I can't figure out where is the difference
