usb 3.0 hub not working as 3.0

I have a usb 3.0 hub with card reader and 3.0 usb ports in my desktop. When i plug the hub in its only reading as a 2.0 hub. I have a 3.0 hdd that works fine with my ports. Any help?

Ya i stated that i have usb 3.0 ports. I pluged my hub which is 3.0 into it. It only gives me 30 mbs transfer speed. It says usb 2.0 hub connected.

[strike]The said USB 3.0 ports are on the back of the computer/case or in its front? Also, what is the motherboard model & case model?
Also, if the USB 3.0 ports are on the front, you could try opening the case and checking if the cables for said USB 3.0 ports are connected to a USB 3.0 port on the motherboard (If your motherboard supports USB 3.0 too...)[/strike]

Did not read the question very well, nevermind the things I said before...
What is the hub name/model please?

-Edit- Another reason it could be detecting as a USB 2.0 device is because of the SD speed itself, they are in general not fast enough to be tagged as an USB 3.0 device, so are you using a SD card with good transfer speed? What speed?
