Also, if the USB 3.0 ports are on the front, you could try opening the case and checking if the cables for said USB 3.0 ports are connected to a USB 3.0 port on the motherboard (If your motherboard supports USB 3.0 too...)[/strike]

What is the hub name/model please?
-Edit- Another reason it could be detecting as a USB 2.0 device is because of the SD speed itself, they are in general not fast enough to be tagged as an USB 3.0 device, so are you using a SD card with good transfer speed? What speed?
