Hey guys so after a long struggle I have a working motherboard for my computer. However, I plug a USB3 hard drive into the port in the front panel (yes, it is USB 3.0) but then my computer comes up with the little message saying that the device could be performing faster. I've tried reinstalling the driver but that doesn't seem to make a change. Any thoughts?

It could be the front panel connector (faulty).
Does the External HDD work properly if it's plugged in USB3.0 back panel port? You should also try another USB3.0 storage device and see what happens (Connect to both the USB3.0 front and back panel ports.
Your issue usually occurs, when one connects an external USB3.0 storage device into a USB2 port.
