Hi, I have a problem that started ever since I updated some of my pc drivers (using driver booster) and then one of my usb ports stopped working.
I have an ASUS laptop with windows 8.0 installed. I have 2 usb ports 1x 2.0 and 1x 3.0 and both used to work just fine.
The problem is, I need a mouse always connected through one of the ports but now, whenever I connect it to the 3.0 usb port it looks like it's plugged (the red light of the mouse flashes) but the pointer won't move, no plugging sound could be heard and the small icon that normally appears in the notification area of the task bar doesn't show as well! I know for sure that the mouse works fine with the other port, I even tried to plug my Iphone's usb cable to the usb 3.0 port and the phone won't charge either.
PS: The device manager shows that everything is installed just fine and there are no drivers with that small yellow icon to them. Please help me.

7malligk thank you for your suggestion, and I tried to do that but somehow it didn't work, despite me knowing for sure that updating the usb driver was what started the problem.

And I checked the link, thank you by the way but I guess I lost the chance to roll back to a previously installed version of the driver, which would've probably helped in my case since I reinstalled it with the same current version again thinking that something might have gone wrong with the update but it didn't work and rolling back to the prvious version thus became impossible.
Sorry, I didn't know about that option beforehand.
This is the driver in question:
