Usb 3.0 not working

I have a problem with my pc about my usb 3.0 which are not working. I am not sure if its my motherboard or windows. Because the first time i got this problem i factory reseted windows and the usb 3.0 was working again. Then they stopped working after two weeks so i tried to factory reset again but this time it didn't work.

And now i am considering buying a new motherboard but this has only usb 3.0 so i am afraid it wont work if windows is the problem.

Did you install drivers for USB3 ? Most of the time it's separate chip and need right drivers for it.

I am pretty sure they are installed because the usb 3.0 just suddenly stopped working

To be more than only "pretty sure", go to your Device Manager and update the appropriate drivers.
If they are up to date, you'll get a message that all is good.
If not ... well.

I would also go to MB's manufacturer's site and download latest appropriate driver and install it. MS is known for installing wrong drivers during updates, occasionally.

Already done and they are still not working

Maybe the Microsoft update messed up the driver? Uninstall the driver and reinstall from the manufacturer. If that didn't work maybe the header or cable died. You didn't specify if the 3.0 connections on the i/o or case weren't working...
