USB 3.0 Port Issues

Just looking for some advice, just finished a build using a Fractal Design R4 and MSI Z97 G45. The top of the case has 2 USB 3.0 ports, and one is working and the other isn't. I'm just confused since they both plug into the same spot on the motherboard. Any ideas? Not much of an issue since the other one works, just a minor annoyance!

No doubt a bad connection or faulty port. Best you can do is live with it or return the case. Maybe you can find something obvious that is loose at the ports that can be fixed, but chances are it is not easily fixed.

As clutchc said, this is either a bad port on case or bad motherboard port.

If you have them, you can swap parts to figure it out if you want to RMA.
If it is a motherboard port issue, probably easier to just get hootoo usb 3.0 card which has the header port.

That's what I feared. Oh well, not worth dealing with the process of RMAing it since the other port works! I guess I'll live with it. Thanks guys!

EDIT: Just realized you were talking about the top of the case and not the motherboard.
