Usb 3.0 port not working

The other two are working on the back so I dont understand, and it was working a few weeks ago, the one that dose not work is on the front

It must have been unplugged somehow. It happened to me a couple times.

Yeah I think I can see a loose connector, my case is see through at the side, I just ned to plug it back in to the front

The USB 3.0 connector looks like no other plug coming from the front of your case. It will only plug into 1 USB 3.0 slot on your motherboard.

If all is plugged in, check to see if the ports are enabled and active in device manager, might also check that you have the latest mobo USB drivers for your OS at the mobos web site

So would my pc have a usb 3 connector at the front and at the back, seeing as there are 3.0 ports on the back and the front ?

Yes, most modern motherboards have usb 3.0 on them and most cases have them as well.

So why is it that the usb 3.0 ports are working at the back but not at the front, what would I need to do to fix it ?

Once again, you need to plug the 3.0 connector into your motherboard, then insert the DVD that came with your motherboard and install the USB 3.0 drivers for it to work. If after that it doesnt, you may have a bad USB 3.0 slot on your mobo.

Ok thanks, I got my pc about a year ago so the drivers are already installed, I dont think the port is broken because it was working before and the pc is pretty new, I really appreciate the help

The back USB3 are integrated ports, the ones on front of the case would be connected to a header on the mobo

Ohh I see, so the front connecter could of come lose then

Im using a usb 2.0 stick if that makes a difference why It wont work, but as I said it works with the other 3.0 ports

Okey So I found this USB3.0 cable that was not connected to anything, but it was coming were the usb ports were. I dont know were I should connect it to on my motherboard because I cant find a port that fits ????
