Question USB 3.0 ports not working correctly.

I have had this issue where one of my two USB 3.0 front panel ports doesn't work at all. I had this issue with my last motherboard (an MSI X470 Gaming Plus) which was in an older NZXT S340 Elite case. Now the same is happening my new board as well, which is a Asus TUF Gaming X570-Plus WIFI. I replaced the case as well with an NZXT H710 with two USB 3.0 (Type A) and one type-C. I've tried reinstalling the usb drivers/updating them to no avail and it seems strange that I would have the same issue after swapping motherboards and cases. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Are there a common connector for the front usb at both cases ? If not, maybe one is set wrong way around and you did the same mistake twice ?
