Usb 3.0 questions

hello, got a question, does anyone knows what is the max cable length that one can use with good performance of usb 3.0?
I'm assuming that it is 1.1 ans 2.0 compatible, but how will it affects it's performance when it comes to using a cable of more then 5 meters?

personally i think in the case of usbs, the usb wires length does not affect the speed. it only happens in the case of Ethernet cable. maybe a good quality usb cable will perform a little better. i can be wrong. hope i helped.

sadly but anything longer than 3 meters its not good ... i have a 5m cable and hp printer and my computer didnt recognized it. Than move to 3m cable and that was the trick. Even in user manual it says that you dont use a cable that is more than 3 m long.
