hi
i recently bought
http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-Ultra-Speed-Flash-SDCZ43-032G-G46/dp/B00LLER2CS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421260312&sr=8-1&keywords=sandisk+ultra+fit+32gb

a sandisk ultra fit 32gb . usb 3.0 which says it has reading speeds utp 130 m/b and writing speeds 10x faster then usb 2.0

i tried copying a 1080p movie first by using a usb 2.0 port it says copying at 13-17mb/s ( fluctuates)

then i tried copying it using a usb 3.0 port the blue one.
i get speeds of 18-22mb/s

the speeds are roughly the same? what i missing here? i expected to be like 60 70mb/s it says upto 10x wright so why do i get almost same speed?

and a question. when your copying files and in the small box it says what speed your copying at .. is that the same thing as your write speed? or are they two different speeds?

please help me out.
thanks

Solution
your hdd could be slowing it up. it can only write as fast as it is fed. if your hdd is older and/or slower, this would account for the speeds you are seeing. a simple test would be to plug it into the 3.0 slot and save a download straight to it. this will get data straight from ram which is MUCH faster than any hdd and should feed it at full speed of the usb stick. if it still slow writing then it is the stick
