So I hacked open my external HDD enclosure (no screws) since I've been using it as permanent storage for ages, but when I get it open I find that there's no SATA connection, just a USB 3.0 Micro-B port, so now I'm looking for a way to connect it to my internal SATA connectors. I've found USB 3.0 to SATA adapters, but I'm pretty sure that they're only for connecting SATA devices to USB 3.0 ports and not the other way around. Any suggestions?

It's a Samsung 1TB M3 Portable.

Looks to be Samsung as well. Here's a few pictures of it.

I have the same problem. Did you manage to find a way to do it?

Get one of these, and plug the drive into one of the internal USB 3.0 connectors; but you aren't going to like the speed of the drive, no matter what. Most of these external drives are as slow as molasses in January.

BTW....that's a Seagate drive....
