I have an Alienware 15 that is on Win7. it came with Win 10 but did not support many bluetooth features so I am running Win7 64bit. I only have USB 3.0 ports and anytime I plug in a device I see it says it can perform faster by using a USB 3 port. Because I don't have the correct drivers it's defaulting to USB 1.0 speeds and only transfers about 2MB/sec. Can someone help me get my computer to recognize the USB 3.0 or at least USB 2.0.
I have tried to contact DELL for the drivers but they only support Win 8+
I've checked with Intel and have the USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller and USB 3.0 Root Hub drivers installed but my computer still xfers @ USB 1.0 speeds.
I know there are Toshiba and other Win7 machines that have functioning USB 3.0 but the drivers come from Manufacturer and Not intel so I haven't been able to find anything from Intel, and DELL customer support is a joke!
