I Connect the Wireless USB Adapter to my Computer, and i get poor download speed and sometimes i have to adjust the adapter in the usb port just to get it working again.
Sometimes it disconnects and doesnt reconnect
I put it inside my laptop
it works perfectly fine with ok-ish download speed (not as good as before)
doesnt disconnect
However if i move the USB adapter in the usb port of my LAPTOP, if actually disconnects.
So i dont know if the USB ADAPTER is still faulty.
Its really confusing but hope u understand.
Should i risk buying another adapter or keeping this one and finding a fix?
and if there is a fix anyone care to share? thanks

It sounds like a connectivity issue, and since it involves multiple USB ports I can only assume it's the USB ADAPTER that's the issue.

Now, sometimes you can fix this by cleaning the copper contacts with an eraser and use tissue to remove any remaining residue. If that doesn't fix it not sure what to suggest.

*There are also USB extenders (some very short) which may or may not help.

I assume you tried EVERY USB connection?

Just FYI, but both of my USB sticks have connectivity issues with multiple USB ports so it seems a common problem. If I plug it in it's usually fine but if I touch it slightly it disconnects.

Some adapters fit more SNUGLY than others (that includes the extension cables which is why I mentioned them).

OTHER:
There may be OTHER issues going on too.

1) my dad's laptop disconnects constantly from its internal wi-fi card (which is physically functional) as Intel didn't properly update any drivers for Windows 10. So it's possible it's a software issue.

2) Did you install any additional SOFTWARE for the USB device?
- there may be a recommended driver package for your Windows version

3) Did you check to see if it's fully compatible with your version of Windows?
- not all are, and some have issues.

It may very well just be a simple connection issue though it sounds to me like there's more going on especially since it can work but at slow speeds.

Ive tried cleaning it and that doesnt work unfortunately

The thing is when it plugs in, it works vey poorly than before. i used to get 80-100mbps but now its 20mbps and if i download a game on steam it does not work properly.

Hmm dont want to risk that. if anything id just get a new usb wireless adapter.

1/ Nah thats not the problem.
2/Yes i did and i used the windows version, as there was a default and windows folder. tried both and same problems.
3/ it is compatable because it worked before, but problems are occuring now,
