usb bluetooth dongle comes up as composite drive wins 7

don't know if i have posted this in the right place if not i apologise

i have tried running "systeminfo" so i could give some more perspective of what im running but that just closes as soon as its loads the relevant info

please help im goin insane

Could you check 'Device Manager' and see if it shows a yellow coloured driver with a question Icon on it?
Also could you tell me the dongle's manufacturer and model please?

Cheers Glad i got it right
Its not got a yellow flag and im not sure what make it is its just a cheap 1 from ebay just a usb with a tiny black cover on back

Try connecting it to other usb ports and see if it shows something different.

If that doesn't work out then go to this website:

and download BluetoothDriverInstaller.exe and see if it works then.

ok i downloaded that and it didn't find any thing then i un-installed the driver and restarted my pc then moved the BT dongle to a different usb port and then the program found it patched a file but then could not contact the dongle and failed and it has now disappeared from that program

But when i go to devices it shows a
2.4GHz 2way RF Receiver but has it down as a keyboard/mouse category

When you bought the bluetooth dongle, did the package come with a cd?

That can't be good...... well.... sorry, I am fresh out of ideas. I never came through that problem before. I even bought myself one very cheap Bluetooth USB and my computer automatically installed the drivers and it worked.
The only option I have for you is just to buy different bluetooth usb. It would be best to buy from a memorable manufacturer like Logitech, sony, asus and so on.
