USB Bluetooth Dongle / Telephone quality

Hi everyone,

I am currently having a problem with bluetooth USB dongles. The microphone audio bitrate is set at 16 bit 8000hz which is unacceptable for speech recognition.

Is there a dongle out there that allow a better microphone sound quality?

I have searched alot for this problem online but i could'nt find anything. Mostly people that have Bluetooth headphone audio sound problems.

I have seen that dongles that support Aptx and A2DP seem to be the best dongles out there...

in the sound settings make sure you set the mic/device/compression to the highest quality settings, it may be set for telephony quality. My bluetooth speakers sounded like crap till I changed the settings to be HQ audio.

I have already looked at this, and you cant change the bitrate for the microphone. 16 bit 8000hz is the only value available.
