Usb boot problem

I am having a problem with booting windows setup through usb the problem is it worked before on this mobo i can confirm that it does support usb booting i have even installed windows from it like 50 times.Now it doesnt want to boot the usb.It loads it in the system but in bios in the boot order nothing.In the boot menu it shows up selecting it makes the pc just try and load it nothing happens the mobo is a

ASUS P5Q SE2 the latest bios is installed pls help i tried even different usb sticks to no avail i dont know whats wrong
 
Under the advanced tab there is often an option to enable USB ports and an option for legacy USB support. Make sure both of those are enabled.

Also, if you have usb 2.0 and 3.0 ports, try removing everything from those and trying the usb boot drive in each of them one at a time.

Oh and check under the boot tab for a usb support option. Make sure that it is fully enabled - sometimes it says something like "full initialization."
 
Shmoochie is correct. But if all of those are enabled and it still doesnt work and it's a new install on the USB you might have to redo it. If something is wrong it obviously cant boot and will just skip it.

I have done it many times also. And recently set up the USB like I always have, everything seemed like it went fine. But when I tried to boot from it, it just kept skipping it like yours. Somewhere in my USB set up something didnt go correctly but it didnt tell me that. (I tested with an old linux boot USB I had and that worked. So I knew something went wrong with my windows usb).
