USB Boot Up Error

System says: Reboot and select proper boot device

I have a bootable usb connected to the PC, I have used an old motherboard with new components and SSD. I have already checked in the BIOS that the first option is to boot from a removable drive but it cannot detect my USB flash in the computer, need help on how to get the PC to boot from the USB as it has no operating system at the moment.

Does the BIOS not have "USB" as a boot option like most modern motherboards?
"USB" is what you need to set it to for booting off a pen drive.

Thanks for the answer but I have figured out how to install the operating system now, since it is an old motherboard I'll just use the CD method instead of the USB boot.
