[SOLVED] USB-C adapters

My personal laptop is a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro laptop, which has no USB-C connection.

For work I use a Dell with a WD15 docking station which connects my monitor, charging and peripherals (mouse, keyboard, mic, etc).

If I wanted to plug my personal laptop into the same dock, I could use an adaptor to go from USB-C to (micro) HDMI - but would any of the functionality work that way - i.e. would my display go through to the monitor, would the mouse and keyboard pass through, and would the thing charge?

I'm guessing only the former at most?

Thanks

Paul

Solution
Hey Paul,

if you use an adapter from micro hdmi to usb c you get screen, yes.
You need to insert your mouse, keyboard, to the the docking station to get those perhipherals working.
Finally you need to insert your charger into the wall , the regular way.

Hope this helped.
