USB C Front Panel

The In Win 805 is probably the case I'm going to use for a new build, it looks awesome and well built, but I have a question about the front I/O ports.

It has front USB C which I dont think I've seen any other cases with, which is great, not vital, but very useful. It claims that the front panel connects to the normal 19 pin USB 3 header but I assume that unless the motherboard specifically supports front panel USB C (and none seem to) it isn't going to function - I.e. I couldn't just plug the front panel into any 19 pin connector on any motherboard and the USB C port would work just fine?

Sorry if this isn't clear but I'm a little confused because it seems like in win have released a case with a feature supported by no motherboards, but I assume that can't be the case.

Thanks

You just connect it to a USB 3.1 Gen 1(USB 3.0) header on the motherboard. In Win just included one USB 3.1 Gen 1(USB 3.0) type c port. The usb c port on that case is just like a normal usb 3 type A port, there is no 10gbps nor 100W power delivery via that port.
If you want the functionality of usb 3.1 Gen 2 ports on cases, you would have to wait a bit longer as Z270 motherboards may begin to offers ways to have that functionality for front panel purposes.

Suztera,

This is supposedly not the case listed on In Win's website. See here: http://
It states that it is USB 3.1 Type C capable of 10gb/s transfer speed, but still comes with a 19 pin motherboard connector. The question I have is that if there are any motherboards that anyone knows of that will support this connection to enable.

I have an In Win 805 and just use the normal USB 3.0 header on the motherboard to connect the type c, but i only get typical speeds, i.e., no fast charging either.

Yes it is a fact that a usb 3.1 type c port is capable of 10gbs but there are no internal 3.1 Gen 2 headers on a motherboard that allows 10gbs for cases with type c ports.
As of now, there are no motherboards that has support for usb 3.1 gen 2 front panels headers.
I would say it is misleading saying 10gbps when you can't get it.
