Hi, I'm using a Dell Latitude 5520 Laptop and an HP VH24 monitor. I had to use a USB-C to Display Port cable because none of the components matched. My screen is working properly and my laptop has recognized the screen. The cable is brand new. About every 6 seconds I get a message that says "USB device not recognized. The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it." I've tried to restart, shut down, unplug, etc. What could be the problem? Tech support with work thinks the USB-C might be pulling more power than my laptop charger is giving causing this error and suggests I buy a dock. Thoughts? Also note since it's a work laptop there are very limited admin rights for me. Maybe the cables bad? Even though it's new? Any help is greatly appreciated.
