Hello im using a ASUS ROG GL552 laptop to run my setup. i recently got a second monitor to use and i got a USB-C to HDMI Adapter because my computer doesnt have more than 1 hdmi port. This usb-c to Hdmi is connected to an HDMI splinter down the line so i can swap between my PC and PS4 on my second monitor. When i tried putting both screens on my display settings it doesnt say theres a second monitor there. I made sure the splitter was on the right setting and its still not recognizing that theres a 2nd monitor. Please help

Thanks -Justin

Solution

USB 3.1 C to HDMI functioning is dependent on whether or not the port is Thunderbolt enabled. Everything i find points to the GL552 NOT having thunderbolt compatibility.
