USB# cables

Hello,
I have a USB2 to USB3 converter for one of my PCI slots on my motherboard. I would like to know if all of my USB2 cables will work at the newer higher output of the USB3 ports?

Yes the USB 3 port is compatible with the older standards.

I forgot to add the 2 cables will also NOT have the extra amperage that 3 provides...

That answer is not quite telling all....

Yes usb 2 cables WILL work with USB3 ...but WONT work at USB 3 SPEEDS...
