I was untangling the cords around my external hard drive and the cord that connects to the computer came out, when i tried to put it back in the usb looking part inside the hard drive broke off and went inside it. I can hear it rattling around inside the hard drive. How do i access my files !?!? I am borrowing this from my sister please help me :'( its a seagate external hard drive, thats all i know about it!
thank you so much

Just one possible bugbear in buying a new enclosure for it - - WD & Seagate (and probably Toshiba & Hitachi too) often use non-standard, proprietary data connectors on the hard drives inside their external and portable models. I've come across that problem myself. Hopefully yours is not one of those.
Hi
Measure the hard drive it will be either 2.5" or 3.5" and buy a new external enclosure of that size then swap the drive into it,they are not expensive.
If you need the files quickly then you could do as mickeyphoenix suggests and remove the hard drive and mount it in your computer.

I cant take a photo as my sister has already taken it home, but it just looks the same but just with a hole instead of a connector. Im not good at any of this stuff what I really want to know is, if it was taken to a shop to be repaired or something could i get everything stored on it off? i mean, have i lost anything on there because the connector is broken?
