USB controller not showing up on Dev manager?

im running m4a88t-m asus and i cant find my usb controller in dev manager. i also cant access bios utility due to the fact that my ps2 keyboard doesnt pick up keystrokes upon startup. any ideas?

So this problem randomly occured? Everything was working and than poof usb controller gone? That sounds bad, how old is the pc? What components etc?

Everything is roughly a year old, excluding the motherboard, which is 6 months old... so it really shouldn't be doing this.

No, it shouldn't, but you could try to reinstall the drivers anyway. Did you do a clean install of windows when you changed the motherboard 6 months ago?

Actually, no. I had installed windows 8 by accident when trying to create a bootable usb drive. Then, I resorted to burning windows 7 via an ISO(I legally had a license for the product, I just didnt have the installation disks) which must have messed some stuff up.

Sounds like it did mess up some stuff, try to make a clean install of windows and reinstall all drivers properly, then it should work.

Sounds like it did mess up some stuff, try to make a clean install of windows and reinstall all drivers properly, then it should work.

The only thing is that would only solve the less irritable issue at hand, which are several BSOD errors that I'm not very concerned about. The real issue is that I need an alternative way to change the usb controller settings in my bios without having a keyboard...
