USB Device not recognized

I am using windows 8.1 and this are the messages I get when I plug in my usb mouse. I have already tried uninstalling all of the usb drivers and restarting my pc. I know the mouse works, because when I plug it into my brother ubuntu pc it works fine. One day it started to stop working every so often and I would have to unplug and plug it back in for it to work, now it doesnt work at all.

Have you tried plugging the usb into all of your other ports ( in the back, front, wherever, etc ) ? Also, the mouse simply might just be dead . Could you link which one it is?
