I being having a USB port problem even now and then.
Happened to my old motherboard and same on my new one.

After a while I start getting error messages at random or sometimes when I tap a USB cable near its connector.

"USB device not recognized"

Trying any of the other ports give the same error.
Have a total of 16 ports 12 of those are USB 3.0.
While only 6 are in use.

Tried everything, but I am out of ideas.

Only thing I can think of right now is that it could be related to my custom desk case.
Which I use these brackets to extend my IO port to the top of desk.

Perhaps because of the extension I am having interference or a loss of power to the ports.

Mobo is a ga-x99-ud4
Psu corsair hx1050

As I said I only use 6 out of 16 ports.
Might be less available ports.
But it's less the half I am using, I have a powered 3.0 hub.
But that one suffers from the same problem because the port it's connected to gets the same problem.
