usb device over current status detected

i just finished building my new PC with little to no problems, up until now after i loaded windows and tried to boot up. its an ASUS mobo.

Check all jumers are in the correct default positions (refer to your manual) .. make sure you haven't plugged in the USB cables into the IEEE1394 port instead of the USB port, this will damage your motherboard.

Also try bench testing your system .. take it out of the case to be sure nothing is shorted. My final suggestion is the power supply .. make sure it's powerful enough.
