USB devices stop working

Hi.

Recently i got a new M/B. Gigabyte Z87X-D3H. The thing is that usb devices stop working at random for like half a second. This can happen at any time and any point. I updated drivers, bios, windows. Everything. Is there any fix i can try or is the m/b gone?

Do they all stop at the same time or is it just one or a few ports that go?

It is a bit tricky. The mouse seems to work fine. It's a razer naga. But the razer ouroboros i've tried freezes. The USB headset i use, my keyboard and my iphone stop working at the same time.

Also a new issue. Whenever i listen to music, a scratching sound like the tiny sounds an old gramophone does can be heard from my speakers. The speakers work perfect on another PC. Could it be my south bridge is toast?

well its responsible for all the devices you have listed so I would believe its probably broken, Try Clearing your CMOS that may work
