Hello. I bought a new flash drive recently. I've been using it at work a lot, from computer to computer. I noticed that nowadays when I plug it in a desktop/ my laptop and I try to move a large file to/from it (media such as movies, tv shows etc), the computer doesn't recognize it anymore. I see 'Lexar, FAT 32', instead of the blue bar indicating how much space has been used and an error saying the file/s is no longer located on this device. I remove it from the port and place it back in and the same thing happens. It is extremely annoying. What can I do to solve this? Do I need to reformat it?

Go to "create and format partition" in Windows 10 or Windows 7. I think by reformatting the USB drive should solve your issue. I think formatting it to FAT32 should be the option. BE CAREFUL NOT TO ERASE OTHER DRIVES USING THIS PROGRAM

In addition, if you drop the USB drive that can potentially destroy it and create problems.

Hello again. I re-formatted my USB on a desktop (windows 7). Everything worked fine, I even transferred movies unto it. I brought it home and plugged it into my laptop (windows 10) and then it started to malfunction. All I saw was 'F:' I was told that perhaps I could try and reversing the reformat on the windows 7 and reformat it on the windows 10. Here is the issue with that. When I plug the USB into a computer that uses the windows 10 OS, it's not recognized. I don't see it pop up at all. I even restored the defaults on the USB. In the beginning when I took it home yesterday and transferred media unto my laptop, it worked, but then I noticed (like before), the upload ceased and I knew what was happening. Back to square one.

try uploading your data on a Ext.HDD and see if that works. If it doesn't it's safe to say something is crashing it, and I'm pursuing it's windows.
