usb drive keeps disconnecting

My generic usb 3.0 drive, while plugged into my front usb 3.0 port every few seconds disconnects and then reconnects a few seconds later. It keeps on doing this repeatedly. How to fix? thx

What format is the USB drive? Format it to NTSF with Default Allocation Size.

How do i do this (btw since it doesn't stay in pc i will do it on laptop [mac])

If it works on the laptop, but not the PC, something is wrong with the PC, not the drive more than likely.

While i figured it out i cant find that format the drive is currently ms-dos (fat)

Does it always disconnect and reconnect in Device Manager as well?
