Hi I own an HP ENVY dv6 Notebook, and I am unable to use my USB ports. It's refurbished, and my friend helped me set it up originally, and everything worked fine.

My specs:
Model: dv6-7214NR
CPU: i7-3630QM @ 2.40 GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT650
OS: Windows 7 version 6.1.7601

I think that I need to reinstall the drivers, but I don't know where to find them. IF anybody knows how to fix this I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Have a look at this: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-Systems-and-Software/Windows-7-drivers-for-dv6-7214nr/td-p/2511401

Someone had the same problem as you do 😉
this is the official hp site where you can get your laptop's drivers. I think you should find it here:

I do have a 64-bit. I did go to the HP site, but I was only able to find information for when a yellow exclamation point is next to the USB device. What I have are exclamation points next to the PCI Device and SM Bus Controller. (I probably should have specified that before.)

Its not specifically for your usb driver, but i think hp had some problems with their drivers on their site.... ( drivers not there )

This is great! Thanks! I'm reading through it, and my only question is which driver do I need to re-install to correct the problem? I don't see any one that specifically addresses the PCI Device or SM Bus Controller.

I think i would try the pci first. Then the smbus. Sorry i don't know what the driver is for your usb :S. Most of the times its the pci.
