Usb drives not working

Hello,
when i plug my iphone into my asus laptop nothing happens, or if i plug my camera in via usb nothing happens but if i plug my usb reading light it works, so it seems to be not reconizing any device been happening for 5 weeks now PLEASEEEEEE! HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!

Do u have iTunes installed?

Did u try another port?

I have iTunes & I've uninstalled it & reinstalled it
Nothing changes & tried all ports
