USB enclosure not recognised with SSD, recognised when empty

Hi,
I have an ICY box IB-273StU3, USB 3 SATA enclosure.

When empty it shows up in device manager as:
ATA/ATAP| Device InnoSto USB Device.
In Disk Management shows as a removable drive with No Media.

However, when it has an SSD present it does not register. Does not show up in drive manager either.
The SSD is Corsair SATA 3, 60GB.

Is the problem compatibility, the drive or the enclosure? And any ideas on how to fix?

I'd like to use the enclosure to troubleshoot the SSD currently in my PC which won't boot, but don't want to do that if the enclosure is faulty.

I went ahead and tried my PC SSD and it worked fine in this enclosure, so that answers that.

a fix for the SSD would be nice though, but I guess it might just be bust.

Maybe find the SSD driver and reinstall or intall it, not to sure one this one hmmm :/

sounds like the enclosure doesn't support storage drives that small

Does the MOBA support SATA 3?
