USB extenders and input lag

So, my PC sounds like a jet taking off sometimes, and I don't want to go through all the hassle of changing my internals (it runs cool though), so I thought maybe if I put it away from my ears it would be fine. How long USB cables (for my keyboard and mouse) can be without interfering in signal and adding lag? Same question for HDMI and 3,5mm audio cables.

PS: I think 5m of cable would do the trick.

Hi
I use an active 15 meter USB cable from pc to a hub into which mouse and keyboard is plugged and also a 15 meter HDMI cable and there is no discernible lag.
The 15 meter 3.5mm cable also does not appear to cause any problems with the audio .
The sound of "jet taking off" is usually the case of two much dust inside the heatsink, and underneath the heatsink; The CPU fan is spinning as fast as it can go;.

Open up your computer case; Get a can of compressed air, or some other low-pressure device; You can use other devices for this, but don't raise the PSI much higher than what a can of compressed air is stated as, which I do not know.

Usb cables and HDMI are about the same, about 15 feet; I kind of doubt that 3.5 cable length matters.

I'm not seeing an "EDIT" button for my above response; but get the compressed air and blow it very near and around the CPU and Heatsink, especially, underneath the heatsink, where thick layers of dust often develop and cake around that part; You can often peal a thick layer of dust around the bottom of a heatsink and then place it on your desk as a square of dust.

It´s actually pretty clean, it has more to do with having a total of 15 fans on the computer...
