Question USB Extension

Hey guys, I decided to play my games on portable HDD, so I connect USB extension to motherboard back USB panel,
Now, is that bad for my hardware and HDD to working on USB 1.5M extension cable? I asked this for voltage and etc.

No, USB extension cable is fine -- amount of power from USB port will be the same.

Only thing I'd add is that game performance might be affected when running it from external hard drive (compared to internal drive) if it's an old USB standard (ie USB 2.0 instead of the latest USB 3.0).
