Ok i would do a search but seriously with the problem i am having its a countless search of different variation of problems solved so i will get straight down to it.

Okay i have one of them external style caddys where you can mount a SATA hard drive via USB making it external.
Anyhow someone has made a mess of their hard drive as in it wont boot anymore so they wanted to clean install it.
What the actual problem is the HDD that has been made into a external drive from next persons PC is slow as anything and it only displays half the drive.
Now its possible that their are 2 partition in it and it dont see the other one. I wanted to extract all the pictures out of it as so i do the usual in the search bar *.*jpg and i get only a few pictures that is not the personal pictures.

Is their anyway to view the full hard drive as its showing half and anyway to get the damn HDD faster without formatting it.

Do you see another partition in disk manager?

You may just need to mount it and assign a letter, may need to try some recovery software to find missing partition (any worth a crap are not free), or could be that the drive is hosed and nothing shy of $1000 disk recovery services is going to get the data back.

That is why backups are important, backup meaning the data is on 2 different disks.
Somehow the masses believe that if you put the ONLY version of the data on the "backup" disk then it is backed up.
