Usb flash drive...continuously blinking blue light

Hello Forum Family,

Unfortunately, I took out my usb flash drive from the back of my Amazon Fire TV without dismounting it first. (I got excited after not remembering where it was for over two weeks and just took it!!! Argh!!!)

Any thoughts on how to resurrect it?

Yes. I use MACS...I haven't tried it on my windows laptop as of yet.

Try uninstalling all usb controllers, restart computer two times, and then plug them and see if it works.

I'm not quite sure how to do that on a Mac (MacBook Pro), but I'll research it. Or I'll plug it into my windows based laptop first to see if it works, uninstall those usb controllers to see if that works and then go from there.

OSX is indexing the drive. Google on how to stop this.

I tried this on my windows 7 laptop but it did not work. The blue light is still blinking rapidly and the usb drive does not show up. I'll try your suggestion (to stop indexing) on the Mac to see if that works.
