I have a Super Talent 3.0 64 gb usb drive that once I format it on my Win. 8 computer, it won't show up on a Win. 7 or XP pc, It won't work on my Roku, or my Ford Sync. I don't know what's going on. I've formatted it in Fat32, NTFS, exFAT. I've repartitioned it, cloned it from another working drive. It only works on my home and work Win. 8 pc. It doesn't show up in the Win. drive manager, so it's not a drive letter issue.

Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks.

On one of the PCs that will recognize it, look at the flash drive in the disk management console. In Windows 8 there's a menu that will pop up when you mouse over the bottom left corner and right-click, which includes a link to the disk management console.

In the console, each drive occupies a horizontal row across the screen. Right-click the disk number to the left of the flash drive entry (the box where it says "disk X" where X is a number) click Properties and in the new window go to the Volumes tab. Is the drive listed as MBR or GPT?

I formatted it on my Dell XPS w/ Win. 8. It will work on that and a HP machine I have at work w/ Win. 7. My previous work HP had Win. 7 and it didn't work. I fat32 formatted it yesterday at work with HP's USB format utility. It works on my Win. 8, but not on my XP machine, Ford Sync, or Roku. MiniTool Partion Wizard didn't work either as I tried to clone it as an old 16 gb. drive I had that worked everywhere.

I guess I'm going to have to chalk it up to learning. Don't mess with them. If I need one another one formatted to NTFS, I'll buy another one and format it on the machine I'm going to move the data to.
