Question USB flash drive not showing up in BIOS when I Flash it.

Hey guys,

I'm trying to update my BIOS right now because people have been saying that when they updated theirs, The Rockstar Launcher started working so they could play Red Dead Redemption 2. But for some reason, my USB isn't showing up at all when I flash it. I've checked that advanced tab where the settings for the USBS are at but both USB options are enabled. Could someone tell me what I'm supposed to do.

Motherboard is MSI Intel Z370 SLI PLUS

Try formatting the flashdrive as fat 32 and using a rear usb2 port.

There's usually a specific usb port in the rear for such, mine is ringed green, if not then the mobo manual will say exactly which port to use. It's a constant 5v port, always active, even if the pc is shut down, done specifically to bypass standard boot and allow bios to update without going through the boot process as such. You'll also need to insert the the flash drive before turning the pc off, to enable the handshake, allowing the port to remain open during power on.
