[SOLVED] USB flash drive suddenly stopped working. Can i save it ?

I have a Samsung Bar 256gb usb flash drive i bought just slightly over 2 years ago and it suddenly stopped working. It shows up in device manager as smi usb memory bar usb device, it shows zero storage capacity, no volumes or anything like that. I was doing some reading and i think the controller is the problem. I was hoping someone could tell me exactly what i need to do in order to attempt to revive this device ?

There are 2 images i took of the device outside its housing. It is small and i feel like i will not be able to recover my data but if anyone can tell me what i should be trying to do to this thing ill give it a shot. as you can see. it is just 1 chip. nothing you can do.
