I have 16 computers that are all Windows XP Pro SP3. Intermitently and on random computers, we will put a flash drive in and it won't show up in "My Computer". However, the drive shows up in Disk Management and it is even accessible through command line. Anyone know how to fix this?

I have this same problem. There are more symptoms I can add on my end. If I open the drive by right-clicking and opening or exploring in disk management (the ONLY was I can get to the drive) there is no drive letter or path in the address bar. But it does show the drive letter in disk management. There are no other drives or mapped network drives using that drive letter. I have had this problem for about 2.5 months now. Windows update?

Try this:

right-click on "My Computer" then click on "Manage" then on the left side click on "Disk Management" then Right-click on your removable disk then click on "Change drive letter and paths..." then click on "Add..." button then Click on "OK"

It's finished
