We have a 13 months old computer just out of warrantee. My dad broke the usb 3.0 frontal plug(at least I think its 3.0). I opened the computer and saw its a small rectangular piece about half to 1 inch big 356DA (part number I guess) that is welded by 2 tiny spots on a card. this card has other storage on it and sound and such. it is in front of computer.

I can find the card or the tiny rectangular usb part broken. First what is better to just find the usb piece and wlede it there (never done that only change so far dvd drives, or memory)

if that is the way to go any tutorial and where do I buy this part? Im in Canada and went looking with part number and didn't find it no where. help! I cant charge my phone anymore or transfer file.!

PS defenalty a newbie but willing to learn

There is no 'tutorial' for fixing that.

Best way to fix it is have some local dude fix it.
Second best way is just to ignore that port, and use the others.
Third best way would be to find a completely broken motherboard, remove the same type of USB port, and solder it on.
But...if your soldering skills rise to the level of 'don't have a soldering iron'...bad things will happen.
